I’m not rating it lower because the lore related stuff regarding races and ships is very interesting as is the whole concept, but the rules themselves regarding ship building is notconsistent with the example ships presented in the book. It just makes those systems flawed and in need of too much GM handwaving when I’m buying a product specifically to add these ship rules.

I backed the kickstarter when it was announced. I was the 9th or something backer, misplaced my download links and said “Absolutely worth buying again, good price, and I want to support the best GM I know of!”

I’ve just started running a pirate themed 5e D&D campaign set in the Forgotten Realms and this book was just what I needed to flesh out life on the high seas. My players are excited to experience ship to ship combat and I believe this is just what we need. For anyone wanting a simple yet exciting way to add nautical themed rules, mechanics and new races to the existing 5th edition ruleset for D&D, I can highly recommend this publication. Thank you all the hard work that went into producing it.

The Ship-to-Ship combat was super intimidating at first glance, with 90+ action cards, but honestly I’m so excited for it. Despite its hefty size, it seems like it will add a bit of excitement and thrill to the seafaring games that has thus far been missing in 5e’s system. Thank you for such awesome content.

Been running a sea based adventure for a party for over 2 years now and our sea combats have always felt just a bit lack luster. This supplement has really, really helped to setup a nice framework for actually handling encounters much smoother and giving the PCs plenty of options to engage while not making things feel clunky at all

Overall a really good resource if you’re looking to run an in depth naval campaign.
The races are really cool, and each one has an adventure idea to give you an inspiring insight into the societies of these races outside of just stats and their history.
The ship system is super thorough and could answer nearly any question your players might come up with.
The ships and other things included are all really cool, I probably won’t use many of them but they’re really inspiring and there if I want them.
The artwork is really good. I’ll admit the art of some of the crab people weirds me out but that’s not a bad thing.
I was hoping to get some of the maps used in the Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign Guy ran but that’s my fault for not reading into it enough. I’ll have to keep looking for them.
The printable cards and dm screen stuff is cool but looking back I wouldve been just fine getting the normal version without those things since I mostly play online.
Anyways, I don’t regret buying this. It’s nice to have but if you’re not planning on running a specifically naval campaign maybe hold off on buying it. But if you are or just want good inspiration and a resource to fall back on because you’re not satisfied with the RAW ship system then buy this.

While I already owned the physical copy of the book I like having digital copies for their ease of reference, especially while playing online.

This book is bloody awesome! Running a pirate campaign and with the official rules being a bit slim when it comes to nautical combat and travel, this book is just great.

This pack is very well put together and contains more information with the right kind of wording for explanations compared to any other source out there.

Worth the money. Some nice ideas. Some great fantastical ideas. Enough fuel and food for naval campaigns.
Three minor suggestions. First, I would have preferred a few more classes of historical ships (like flutes and the like) next to the fantasy ones. Second, I would have preferred maps of the different decks. Third, it is unclear whether the forecastle of the galleon has a kitchen (one room might be it). Still that’s better than the GOS where there was no kitchen.
So if you would publish a file with additional maps such as these, then I would be quite interested in purchasing it.
BTW, I love the youtube part of your business too.
